Maybrat regency in West Papua is not only known as a conservation district, it also has many natural tourist destinations that are still very natural. Two icons in Maybrat: The hot Spot Mossminis & Uter lake in the Aitinyo district. To get to the location of Maybrat regency, you need to use 4WD from Sorong regency. It is only takes about 7 hour’s high speed. Morning is the right time to visit “Gunung Petik Bintang” view point.

Day 0
We will pick you up DEO Airport Sorong. You will proceed to Swiss Bell hotel. You will rest & free time. In the afternoon meeting will be at 15:00 PM (Local time) meet to discuss about the next coming days Expedition program in Maybrat Regency.
Dinner will be in any restaurant (self-service). We do recommend German Wall, Sea food. After dinner, you will go for shopping (Logistic stuff to use along the Expedition).

Day 1 Sorong-Maybrat (Mr.Frabuku House)
Today will be the half day of journey to Maybrat regency. Where the tour/Expedition will be start & ends point. We are going to Proceed to Mr.Frabuku house. There is our home based for the Maybrat Expedtion. Lunch will be in Maybrat (in Jhon House or in “Rumah Makan-Indonesian Mixed street food”. The rest of the hours, focus on Wildlife Photography around Mr. Frabuku House bank!
Day 3 Maybrat-Gunung Petik Bintang
4:00 AM Wake Up, final preparation.
5:00 AM. Start heading to “Petik Bintang Mt.top. It takes one hours or less by 4WD. You will see the beautiful panorama, and the morning Sun rise. Here is where visitors can feel the beautiful beauty of God’s creation that is so beautiful. The green Rain forests expanse of grass in road bank & the trees are always decorated with spider webs every morning, so there is a pretty white color on it. After that, the morning view was seen from the blazing sun which slowly emerged from behind the hill. Modern society calls it the name “Gunung Petik Bintang” or “Sky Touching Hill Top because it looks similar to the green hill row where the Teletubbies live.
At: 7:00 AM. You will return to the Mr.Frabuku House for having Breakfast.
At 9:00 AM, The next tour today will visit: Lake Uter. Uter Lake is situated in Aitinyo regency. It’s about 30 minutes or /1hr from Home based. Generally, Lake Uter is the most beautiful fallen crystal blue lake ever. Or a piece of Paradise Lake on earth that to be seen in Maybrat regency. Many local fishes, lobsters, and birds are to be seen. It’s good time to swim on, or photography. You will use local canoe to upper lake where the area is mostly surrounded by the ticked rain forest around. Here the locals go for hunting, trapping, fishing around and many residences spend times to fishing until the Sun sets. Lake Uter still maintained with its naturalness. The forests that surround this lake also keep the lake water clean and clear because it has not been exposed to garbage and soil pollution. In fact, I could say that Lake Uter is the clearest lake in Western New Guinea (west Papua Province).
Back to the Based, Dinner-Sleep
Day 4 Birds Watching & Waterfall
Wake up at 4:00. You will have a quick Breakfast.
Start at 5:00 AM to Birds of Paradise display. It’s about 1hr heading to Birds of Paradise spot. You will see the Bops are dancing. Back to the based, Breakfast, & the final preparation to the Buanee waterfall trip & the Cultural performance by the local people. You will see the snake dancing. At: 09:00 AM you will go explore rain forest. You will meet many wildlife are expected to be seen along the way to the Buanne Waterfall. After the photography, the next cultural ceremony will begin. Today, the locals will show you Snake Dance. Well known Arfak & Maybrat Dance. This dance is a welcoming dance, or sometimes, they dance when the families marriage, or cultural ceremony begins. Back to Based, packing and heading to Sorong (the rest o the hours). Check in Swill bell hotel in Sorong, sleep (self service).
